David Brisson D.O. Osteopath Tokyo
Treatment

Your body knows how to heal itself

Osteopathy works by removing what’s in the way. Through gentle, precise manual therapy, I help your body restore its own natural balance — relieving pain, improving movement, and building lasting resilience.

What is osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a holistic manual therapy rooted in one core idea: structure and function are inseparable. When bones, muscles, joints, organs, or fascia lose their natural mobility, the whole body feels it. Rather than treating isolated symptoms, an osteopath looks at how everything is connected — and works to restore harmony across your entire system. It is safe, non-invasive, and suitable for all ages, from newborns to seniors.

Your first visit, step by step
  1. In-depth consultation. We begin by listening — your medical history, lifestyle, stress, posture habits, and what’s been bothering you. Understanding your whole picture is what allows truly effective treatment.
  2. Physical assessment. I examine how your body moves, where restrictions lie, and how different systems are interacting. This goes beyond the site of pain — often the source is elsewhere.
  3. Personalised treatment. Using the techniques best suited to you — chosen together — I work to release restrictions, restore mobility, and support your body’s natural self-healing capacity. Sessions last 30–60 minutes.
  4. Your care plan. Many patients feel clear relief after their first session. Acute issues often resolve in 2–3 visits; chronic conditions may benefit from 4–6. We review and adjust together as you progress.
